Departments
The following are the departments that remain open for applications:
- Success - Create new client tutorials, layouts, and other tools to help our clients succeed.
Green represents an open department, and red is closed. Applications for closed departments are open as posted on the schedule below.
Council Of 3
Each department has a council of 3. These 3 members work together to:
- Establish a weekly meeting. Go over progress and make modifications to direction as necessary. Each council will hold a weekly meeting at a time convenient for all members. It is mandatory that a meeting be held and all members attend each week. The length is up to you.
- Hiring and train any volunteers needed to keep the goals achieved. Kris can help you find new members, but you are fully responsible to train them and make sure they are doing their job properly.
- Ensure the continuation of the council by rehiring any members that quit or become inactive. Any newly hired council members need to fill out the volunteer application.
As each department has a different goal, their setup will be different in most other aspects. Departments are expected to be able to operate independantly of one another, and without requiring administrative assistance.
Schedule
As this is going to be a large team of at least 24 volunteers, it's not very practical to hire everyone at once. That's why we have a schedule as follows:
NOVEMBER 2009
12th - Applications open for Development and Support.
16th - Announce openings to previous volunteers.
17th - Announce openings to full community.
20th - Applications are closed for Support and Development.
21st - Support and Development councils are announced and begin to take office.
22nd - Applications open for Welcoming and Abuse.
24th - Announce openings to previous volunteers.
25th - Applications open for Success department.
26th - Announce openings to full community.
29th - Applications are closed for Welcoming and Abuse.
DECEMBER 2009
14th - Welcoming is announced and begins to take office.
18th - Abuse is announced and begins to take office.
26th - Applications closed for Success.
28th - Success is announced and begins to take office.
The schedule above is now final. We will not fail to launch before the end of the decade.
